Using WACHandler to manipulate the
contents of a WAC (or downloading from a WAC) is done by Dragging and
dropping tracks, eithe rwoth the left Mouse Button, or for accessing
more options, using the right Mouse Button.
There are also a number of actions
available when right-clicking any node in the Trees.
Installation
Just unzip the WACHandler.exe file to
any folder. Make sure you have Write Access to the folder where
WACHandler.exe is stored. This is needed for the internal database
handling.
Copy tracks from WAC to PC
A: Drag and Drop from the WA unit do
Windows Explorer
or
B: Right-click on a WAC track, select
Download to PC, click on a destination folder and select Ok.
("B" above is included for cases
where a Drag and Drop operation doesn't work.)
Copy tracks from PC to WAC
Drag and Drop one or more mp3 or wma
files from Windows Explorer and drop them on the WAC icon in the tree.
Copy tracks (rip) from CD-ROM (in PC)
to WAC
Drag and Drop one or more tracks from
the CD shown in the lower tree to the WAC.
Copy tracks (rip) from CD-ROM (in PC)
to WAC and Normalize them at the same time
Drag and Drop, using the right Mouse
Button, one or more tracks from the CD shown in the lower tree to the
WAC.
Then select the desired Normalization
mode.
Copy tracks (rip) from CD-ROM (in PC)
to PC folder
Drag and Drop one or more tracks from the CD shown in the lower tree to
Windows Explorer.
Identify CD's ripped in WAC with
identified CD's in PC
Drag and Drop a CD to thw WAC using
the right mouse button, then select Just upload Track Information to an
WAC unidentified CD...
A window will be shown allowing to
select which Album on the WAC should be updated. Only Albums in the WAC
that has the same number of Audio tracks as the CD will be listed.
Normalize tracks stored in the WAC
Select one or more tracks in the WAC,
right-click and select Normalize and then the desireced mode.
Uploading Playlists to WAC
Drag and Drop a .m3u or .pls file to
the WAC.
Downloading Playlists from WAC
Drag and Drop a Playlist to Windows
Explorer.
Updating WAC Firmware
Right-click the WAC and select
Upgrade Firmware, then select the Firmware file and click Ok.
Updating Gracenote database in WAC
Right-click the WAC and select
Upgrade Gracenote, then select the Firmware file and click Ok.
Configure a WAC
Right-click the WAC and select
Configure. A new dialog will show up which shows all options to
reconfigure the Cable and Wireless settings.
The Configuration dialog looks
different depending on which WAC system is selected; WAC700 and WAC5
has a built-in type of dialog, while all other ("newer") WAC's has a
Web interface that WACHandler will show.
Please note that in some cases it is
necessary to restart WACHandler after a WAC has been reconfigured,
otherwise the WAC will not be re-discovered by WACHandler.
Remote controlling a WAC/WAS
Right-click on a track that is stored
in a WAC and select Play and then the device where you want the track
to play.
Adding and/or removing PC folders that
shall be seen in WACHandler
Open the Settings window and select
the PC Folders tab. You can add and delete PC folders here.
It is also possible to enable/disable the automatic file change
detection in the PC folders.
This tab also has a menu that can be used to preselect where tracks
being dragged and dropped in the PC folders tree shall be stored, or if
the user shall specify this every time a track is dropped on the PC
Folders.
